THEME: Outreach Activities and Formation of Local Peace Committees. (LOPCOS).

KEFEADO is carrying out the outreach activities in greater Siaya District, Bondo, Kisumu East and West districts starting from 16 th - 19 th October 2009. For specific district dates see below:

16 th October 2009: Greater Siaya

1.  Gem district -

Venue: Yala

2. Ugenya district

Venue: Ugunja

3. Siaya district

Venue: Chez Albert

17 th October 2009: Bondo district

1. Usigu division: GMO Centre

2. Maranda Division: Green Court Hotel

3. Nyangoma Division: Nyangoma Complex

19 th October 2009: Kisumu West district

Venue: Kombewa centre

Kisumu East district

Venue: KEFEADO Programme Offices compound

Milimani area - Kisumu

All these will be half day sessions.

Discussion contents include:

•  Briefing on the activities which have already been concluded. They include;

•  Contact exercise.

•  Validation and dissemination sessions.

•  Leaders' consultative meetings.

•  Focus group discussions.

•  Forum theatre refresher training sessions.

Others include :

•  Unpacking the contents of the Kreigler commission.

•  Unpacking contents of the Waki commission.

•  Affirmative Action

•  Nationhood

•  Nation state, citizen and citizenship.

•  Finally forming Local Peace Committees on National cohesion and reconstruction of Kenya .
