KEFEADO &UHAI TUJENGE PARTNERSHIP

KEFEADO is in the 2 nd Year of this project and has signed in February 2010 a partnership agreement in February 2010 with UHAI: East African Sexual and Health Rights Initiative - Akiba Uhaki Foundation to document the progress and attitude transformation levels as a result of the intervention carried out with pilot schools in five districts of Nyanza and their communities. The emerging issues from the rapid data collection carried out in March 2010 will be published and shared by June 2010.

RITE OF BEING PROJECT – Mt. Elgon

KEFEADO has already signed a partnership agreement with Hivos for activities in Mt. Elgon district under the Rite of Being Project for the Years 2010-2012. The preparatory activities for this Phase of the Project are starting in the month of April 2010 and field based activities shall start in May 2010 as soon as 2 nd term starts. More updates later…..

GENDER FORUMS

KEFEADO has signed a contract with Heinrich Boll Foundation to continue hosting and organizing Gender Forums in Kisumu and its Environs and pilot the same in Bondo district. The forums are in the third year having started in Kisumu in the Year 2008. We thank Heinrich Boll Foundation for this partnership.

The first Gender Forum for the Year 2010 was held at Jumuia Guest House, Kisumu on 29/03/2010. The discussion theme was, The Gender Perspectives in the Harmonized Draft Constitution currently under debate in parliament. A total of 108 Women, Men and Youth (Both Male and Female) attended the Forum.
